Once the basic content and organization of the page is chosen you can select to add some important features to your Keyword pages.
|
|
Turning this option on will open the specified web page automatically when a Keyword page is first visited or when the Keyword page is closed. This is a great way to ensure your visitor sees the intended web site.
How to:
Click on the YES radio button if you want to associate a Popup window to promote a web site to your Keyword pages.
The ~~appName~~ Way:
~~appName~~ offers several ways to ensure that the web site visitor is made aware of the sites that you want to promote. Enabling pop-ups is a great way to ensure visitors to your Keyword Pages will be aware of the sites you want to promote. The pop-up can be setup to open when the visitor first opens the keyword page or to open as soon as the keyword page is closed.
Using a pop-up you can promote your own site here or an affiliate program.
I always enter the same URL here that I entered in the Promotion URL Link. This way if my viewer does
not happen to click one of the links to my target page, they will still get delivered there from this popup.
Another option may be to use a similar competing product to the product that you entered in the promotion
URL area that you are an affiliate of.
This way your viewer is being exposed to two different products you can get paid for if they buy.
If you are promoting an affiliate program that you will earn a commission on when someone goes to that
site through your template pages, just enter that affiliate URL there like this:
http://www.marketingtips.com/sr/t.x/823092
which is our affiliate link to Corey Rudl's Internet Marketing Tips site
Background:
A pop-up is a separate web page that will automatically open when a Keyword page is first opened by the website visitor or when it is closed (on leaving the page).
|
How To:
Enter the full URL of the web page you want the popup window to display. Include the “http://www.” As part of the address.
The "test url" link allows you to test and verify the link that you have entered into the pop-up url data entry area. Once you have entered the address of the page that you entered, click on the "test url" link to open a new browser window that displays the page that was entered.
|
Overview:
You can decide if you want to open the pop-up page when the Keyword page is first displayed or when the Keyword Page is closed or exited.
How To:
Choose "Upon template page Entrance" if you want the popup to appear when the visitor enters the page or "Upon template page Exit" if you prefer the popup to appear when the visitor leaves or closes the ~~appName~~ Page.
The ~~appName~~ Way:
Many professional Internet Marketers use and believe in the effectiveness of pop-ups. This is counter to the current anti-popup trend in society at the moment. This is a case where you need to know your audience and identify if it is worth using the popup feature or passing on its use. In many cases experimentation is the only way of knowing. Enable pop-up on a group of pages and measure the traffic to the promoted site. Then, disable the pop-up and again measure the traffic to the promoted site. If the traffic to the site increased when pop-ups were in place, then you have proof of their effectiveness and want to continue using them. If you find it has little or no impact then the choice is yours. Beware some types of audiences or web sites may not be acceptable for popup ads and there use may actually reduce traffic.

user you can click the NO radio button to stop Google Adsense ads from appearing
on your created pages.
IMPORTANT:
If you are planning on using Google Adsense ads on your template pages, you
must not also use PayPerClick links on your pages. Google does not allow
competing ads on the same pages you run Google ads on.
A Great Option for this area!

Insert the code needed to create the Google Adsense ad or Banner ad format that will be displayed on your

Part of this process must be completed outside of ~~appName~~. Once you know what Google Adsense format you need to place on the page, then go to the Google Adsense website and create the HTML code that you will need to place on the page. Once you have
created the code on the Google Adsense website, select it and paste it into this area.
Background:
If you plan on using one of the standard templates, then you need to choose the Google Adsense add that
is designed for the template. ~~appName~~ uses two standard Google
Adsense ads. ~~appName~~ uses the horizontal Leaderboard (728 x 90) style
and vertical style ad uses the Skyscraper (120 x 600) ad. When reviewing the
templates, templates described as having the Horizontal Google Ads use the
Leaderboard (728 x 90) style while templates described as using the vertical
Google ads use the Skyscraper (120 x 600) ad. If you do not use the proper
Google ad format then your ad will not be correct and will throw off the whole
format of your template pages.
When you create your Google Adsense code you can specify the color of the Google ad. Please take
care if you specify a color that matches with the template color scheme that you will choose.
IMPORTANT:

Overview:
Another option is to add Pay Per Click links to your keyword Pages. PPC will appear to be other listings for related sites displayed on your template pages. By design Pay Per Click listings will always appear first on top of Related Sites listings and RSS Feeds.
~~appName~~ supports two PPC options. To use Pay Per Click listings you must first sign-up with one or both of supported PPC providers. This is simply done by clicking on the links below and following the appropriate instructions.
To learn more about and become a SearchFeed Partner affiliate click here. Click to learn more and become a RevenuePilot Publisher.
How To:
If you decide to include PPC links on your Keyword pages, click the "Yes" radio button to reveal the PPC options.
The ~~appName~~ Way:
The smart ~~appName~~ user knows that maximizing monetization opportunities is one of the key ways of success on the Internet. Although Google's Adsense policy does not allow for PPC and Google to coexist on the same pages. It is entirely possible to place a different banner advertising on a page and then add PPC links. It is also possible to create two groups of similar pages on different domains using Google on one and PPC options on another. You can even create alternating groups of pages one with PPC and one without throughout your Template site.
Background:
Pay Per Click links or PPC links are very similar to Google except that they are not a banner, but a link listing very similar to an RSS feed. In this way the text is formatted on your ~~appName~~ page very standardly and does not draw any additional attention to the page or look out of place.

Overview:
Specify if you want to include RSS feeds on your template pages. RSS feeds are data content that
regularly updated. RSS feeds help make the page content more search engine friendly.
How To:
There are three options to choose from. If you choose to include "Inbuilt Feeds" ~~appName~~ will
obtain an RSS feed directly from Yahoo. The RSS feeds will be custom and matched to every custom keyword page.
If you choose "Custom Feed" you will need to identify the "Custom Feed URL" in the next setup step.
When "Custom Feed" is selected the same RSS feed will be included on all template pages created in this session.
The final choice is to select not to have any RSS feeds on your pages.
Background:
Turning this feature on will add RSS Feed code on each page. RSS stands for Really Simple
Syndication. RSS code feeds are basically links from websites that have similar content as you have on your template pages. This content is updated frequently and automatically. The search engines love this and it helps with your page rank.
A Note About RSS Feeds:
~~appName~~ use RSS feeds to obtain data to place on your pages. ~~appName~~ then converts the RSS data to simple HTML. The benefit of this strategy is that the links and the feeds are readily spidered and very search engine friendly. This strategy does mean that the pages are not dynamic. The links and content on the page do not change. To give the pages a new look all that is required is to recreate the pages in the future.
A Note About RSS Feed Results:
If fewer results are returned then you requested it is because the RSS feed provider is not matching content based on your keywords. You may want to experiment using a different built-in RSS feed or to search the web for a custom feed provider.
Overview:
~~appName~~ has several built-in or preconfigured RSS feeds. The feeds will be custom selected to match the keyword content
of the template page.
How to:
Background:
The benefit of the built-in feeds is that every keyword focused template page
may have a different RSS content. This ensures the most customized
content for each of your template pages.
Overview:
The nature of your keywords may be so specific that you are not properly served by the standard built-in RSS feeds. If this is the case you can search the Internet to find custom RSS Feed provider. Once you have researched and found a source for an RSS feed you can enter the URL here.
How to:
If you have chosen to include a Custom RSS Feed you will enter the address (URL) for that feed here.
To find a custom RSS feed is rather simple. It requires 3 steps to implement a custom RSS feed.
Step 1:
Go to
www.Google.com or any other search engine and search for "RSS Feed" you can
add an additional keyword that pertains to the main theme of your site. Review
all of the search results and when you have picked one that meets your need open
the web page containing the Orange RSS Feed icon for the link you want.
Step 2:
Move your mouse cursor over the orange RSS feed icon. Note, at times the RSS
feed icon will say "RSS" and other times as shown below it will say "XML", the
constant will be the orange color of the icon.
Some RSS feed providers will provide a link style indicator for their feeds, follow exactly the same
procedure to save the link as shown above.
Step 3)
When you have saved the address of the RSS feed you can Paste it into the
"Custom Feed URL" dialog box.
Once you have chosen to include an RSS feed from a supplier. Here you will identify how many individual
results you want to receive from that RSS feed.
Each individual result from the RSS feed will be up to 4 lines long.
Overview:

or other Affiliate program target ads such as those used by REI or many of the Travel sites.
Overview:
Include the additional HTML code onto the ~~appName~~ template.
Background:
If you are a PRO Edition
